S3 intercooler

I've been looking at buying an intercooler ready for my stage 2 map and the S3 seems to be the best value for money, my questions is there seems to be 2 types, 1 with alloy end caps (1K0 145 803P) and 1 with plastic end caps (1K0 145 803BP) are these the same and is the plastic end cap intercooler as effective? Thanks in advance

Age old argument to whether end tanks do anything... Same core... I went alloy as its supposed to be better... Got mine from darkside Motorsport for £255 and they included the bolts needed too... I just modified my GTi hoses to fit... Running stage2+ no problems on my eddy.

I'll go with a plastic end 1 then as I've been offered 1 at a really good price, cheers

I fitted a plastic end one to mine, as I got it for a really good price, I got to say it seems to work great, then again Im not doing track days, so that might be the difference!
