MDI to iPhone 5(s) cables

I want a long MDI to iPhone 5 cable - I've searched around but can only find the usual short ones, however I can find longer (1.5m) 30pin iPhone cables - does anyone know if these work with a 30 pin to lightning adapter ok? It will be going into a RCD310 initially but going to upgrade to either a RCD510 or RNS510 (depending on funds etc..)

why do you need it that long? i can get extensions that you normally use for an MDI glovebox kit, you could use an extension and plug in the iphone5 lead
