Looking at replacing the metal valves on my Monza2 as I fear a couple are leaking. I'm trying to avoid paying £54 for tyre valves and looking at alternatives.
eBay is littered with 'bolt in type' valve designed to replace rubber valves on various eom wheels. I've emailed a few of the sellers asking for exact dimensions.
Does anybody have a genuine metal vw valve laying around that they can take measurements from? Width of the valve and the distance between the 2 mating faces on the rim or the distance from the set mating face on the valve and the start/finish of the threads?
If I can get this sorted we may have a cheaper alternative to VW when it comes to hollowtech monza valves, could even buy in bulk from an eBay guy and supply the forum at cost price.
