GTI Newbie
« on: July 03, 2014, 01:58:14 pm »
Hey guys, had my GTI for a couple of weeks now. Had her checked over by local specialists RK Engineering and its all good! (Apart from temp sensor and knackard AC)!  She's a standard magic black 3 door, 54 (2005) with 74k on the clock and lots of VAG stamps in the book :happy2:
Planning to do a good polish this weekend....maybe have a go at sanding/polishing the headlights too....will post some pics when she's gleeming!
Its nice to be able to go round corners again, my old passat wagon handled like a boat!

Cheers bud. Guna keep her standard I think, maybe one or two OEM mods. Got lots of bits and bobs to do to make her minty! Ask again in a couple of months and I'll probably be thinking about a cheeky remap!

Right, she's had a quick polish....

I ran out of time on the front grills, only did the top one, mainly because I decided to start by sanding the headlights!

I Wish! It would probably be worth more than the car....wonder if it was ever issued?

Tidy GTi, on the look out for one just like it to be fair.  Looking to do the same as you, get a standard car and keep it pretty much the same except for bits and pieces here and there.

Cheers mate. Yeh, I really respect the guys who go all out on the mods, the attention to detail can be awsome, but for me, being lazy and having no patience I decided to keep it simple! Plus the mk5's pretty good as standard!

Nice GTI, I had to do a double take when I saw your plate too!  Would be a GREAT plate to have registered.
