central interior bulb

only realised it had this when i was putting led bulbs in the little  map lights this light or i havent noticed it hasn;t worked--put new bulb in but still doesn't work--not sure if its the light holder or what the problem is

Can you put a voltage meter on to see if there is any power to the contacts? If not you could trace the feed back to the fuse to see that its not blown?  :wink:

the 2 map lights either side work so there must be power getting upto it

Sounds silly but you could try turning the bulb 180 and putting it back in.

Worked for me when installing mine

Is the light controlled by the door switch as the door opens? Could it be the switch is not making contact and opening the circuit?

Well got it sorted it was a bad connection

After reading this reply I had to check as my light was not working either? I took the cover lens off and found in the front of the car and found no bulb, just the two map light spots. Then the penny dropped, you were on about the rear set of lights  :rolleye:

No the front ones as the early mk5 had 3 lights on the front

Got the centre  bulb working  just a bulb blown :signLOL:
