Rear caliper replacement
« on: November 05, 2015, 07:48:56 pm »
Has anyone changed the rear caliper themselves and can offer some advice please?

Ive found a guide online and it says that you must change the brake fluid after, is this the case or can I just nip the brake line?
Now if I dont have to change the brake fluid I presume I will lose a little from removing the caliper, does this need to be replaced or will it be ok depending on how much was there to start with?

Last thing, will I need the windback tool for a brand new OEM caliper?

Thanks

Don't necessarily have to change the fluid, but even with the line clamped air could travel back up the line, so bleeding the line after you changed it is essential.

After you do this clearly it will use some fluid so you will have to top up a little your reservoir.
Loads of extra's and retro fits.
