Yeah I would say that's a okay price depending on the quality but I was quoted £280 by power flow. There is one more option though http://www.direnza.co.uk/vw-golf-mk5-sports-cat-exhaust-downpipe.html
Not to long ago I wrote a bit of a bad review on my Direnza turbo back exhaust and I feel I have done so to hastily, I had to replace the gasket as the one they supplied is useless but since then I can't complain, it has a nice subtle tone around the doors and roars when you open it up
have you got the link for the gasket? so if i do purchase it i'll replace them.

Just go down to your local dealer for a new one I think this is the part number you need 1K0 253 115AB and costs around £10

cheers for the help, last question whats the different between 100 and 200 cell?

Don't quote me on this but if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will give you the correct answer. What I've been told is the 100 cell has a little more airflow and can dispel heat quicker keeping your engine cooler a little longer

It's regarding cell density, how many cells per square inch. The more you have, the more restrictive it will be, but the more surface area open to the catalysing material to do it's job - i.e. better for emissions.

100cell = performance
200cell = better emissions and will pass an MOT easier

Do you have one silencer or two on your Milltek? The de-cat won't make it THAT much louder under normal driving, but you'll really notice it with your foot down.

What area did the S59 get given in? I've never had an issue with any of my cars, or heard of S59's being dished out just for a loud exhaust?

I've got the non-resonated cat-back milltek r32 style. it was given in Swansea,South wales.. apparently they done him for too loud and setting off car alarms..

No not that one but another mate had a cupra r with a very cheap ebay un-branded sport cat and it lasted perfectly fine for 2 or 3 years before he de-catted
