Both of your cars are lovely... so in that picture are you running 70mm or 90mm?
The GT Sport tips are OEM, they should have around 70 mm, yes. The Ed. 30 has BCS tips that are 90 mm, and I like them better. :happy2:

Maxitrol made a good suggestion, Milltek tips are awesome too. Not sure if you'll like the price, though...

Okay this week then it appears I'm on the hunt for some exhaust tips and an exhaust shop who can fit them for me! My only concern is the size between 70-90mm.

I sprayed the the rear section of my ed30 rear bumper with gloss black plasti dip! And although the "gloss" is more of a satin gloss I can't complain

If you find some 90mm tips let me know...I'm looking for  the same. Much prefer to go for welded tips and decat as opposed to forking out for a full system....

Gone a bit mad with the gloss back spray...

never really like the front fogs anyway, and this will do untill I get the R-line front fogs soon!

compared to the standard colours I think its an improvement

Update on the exhaust hunt, I'm not prepared to pay the £100 asking price for the tips from Miltek so I will try and get hold off either Skoda or VW tomorrow for a price I'll be more comfortable  :ashamed:

Been a slow week all in all with work going mental so I've only really had time to assess the options of the exhaust issue...

Essentially between that^ or a miltek cat back for now with GTi exhaust GT80 tips which is about £450... Decisions decisions

Made a bit of an enquiry into buying a used milltek cat back, not sure yet whether I should do the extra £100 and get brand new :|

If the welds look nice I don't see the point on spending the extra money other than the warranty of the new part.

I bet you'll love having a sports exhaust.

Ive been looking into the Milltek ones and I'm sold on the idea of a sports exhaust rather than tips now. I'm assuming any garage that does exhausts could weld it up for me? I'm new to proper modding and I have absolutely no idea on how to go about getting an exhaust sorted!

I would naively assume that I could get a GTi cat back fitted to my exhaust currently?

I'm not the best person to answer yours questions. I just know that your engine will thank a better exhaust, just like mine did (full system - Ed. 30 and downpipe with decat - GT Sport TDI).

Came home from a busy 3 weeks away with work to find

:) Been a slow few weeks in terms of the car but hopefully will pick up again now im back at home!

Fitted a GT foot rest so it didn't look so bare in there now :)...

Came home to find one of my LED sidelights as packed up and one of my LED number plate lights  :fighting: - But I do have some paint and some time this week to make something of my engine cover hopefully!

So, After much deliberation on what to do with my engine cover and how to go about it, I decided on some high temperature engine paint in a graphite grey finish, and a high temperature engine paint clear coat.

A picture shows the colour before messing around, a weird beige that in no way fits with any part of the car?

After a few coats of graphite :)

After its been fitted with about 5-6 coats of clear

Finished picture isn't great, however it matches my car colour very well actually in normal light, which was my hope!
