S3 8L calipers

Will they fit my car ... my mate has and I want to upgrade my brakes ...

8L? - as in the first S3?

I always thought that they have 312mm as standard, which would be the same size as a Mk5 / Ed30.

The carriers will be different too....

8P however - the 345mm brakes are a decent upgrade on a Mk5  :smiley:

As above the first gen S3 (8L) has the same size brakes as the MK5 gti but they won't fit straight on. If its the 2nd gen 8P then they are bigger and better and go straight on.
