DIY Indicator Tints
« on: August 18, 2015, 04:28:40 pm »
Has anyone tinted the wing mirror indicator lenses? I'm taking the mirrors off to replace them in the next week or so and figured it would be a good opportunity to tint the indicators. I'm not up for buying tinted units and would rather have a go myself.

What tint did you use?

I installed the smoked mirror indicators as well as the bumper indicators and it wasn't dark enough for my liking...so I covered those with smoked Lamin-x: http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-Golf_V--2.0T/ES1896406/

Easy to install...cut the sections over-sized...apply to clean area with heat if needed to form over curved features...finally trim, but only need to cut partially through, or score, the material and remove the edges.
