K04 Turbo Oil Feed
« on: August 22, 2015, 01:17:00 pm »
Does anyone know where to get replacement turbo oil feeds for the K04 turbos from? I have an oil leak from where one connects to the engine so need to replace it rather soon.

Yeah, but it looks like that it's the connection to the block (part 14 and 13) that have failed. Thanks for that diagram, will have a look from above and see what access is like tomorrow.

Not a stupid question, but don't fancy paying the £70 plus whatever parts they replace (minimum) to diagnose it when I have a full workshop at my disposal.

Never had a leaking pipe - partially blocked pipes yes! Yet leaking banjo seal yes.

It's worth checking its not working its way down from item 30.

That's why I was thinking of the banjo bolt and washers first, most likely things to have gone. What is item 30 and associated parts, is it the rear ventilation system for the PCV?

Didn't you buy the car from a dealership?

No, that was a different one I was looking at. This one was bought private.

Yes, pcv but it's not uncommon to reuse the clip which attaches the hose to the R/cover - after time oil weeps out worth a look and an easy cure - 1x new clip!

I'll have a look again next time I can get on the ramp. Part 30 didn't have a part number on that diagram which is a bit annoying, but I'm sure I'll be able to get the parts. Is it easily accessible from the top of the bay when the engine cover is off?

Yes very accessible - just look at the clip which holds the hose to the R/Cover you'll see straight away by the crimping if its been off.

Look at this drawing to sort the above

http://www.partscats.info/volkswagen/en/?i=cat_vag_models&brand=vw&number=1714&set=1728&ein=2007&f=474&hauptgr=1234567890&hg=1&grf=010380409&bf=10380&hgug=103&ug=03&parent_id=2335052
Item 12 and 13 check the part numbers for your engine code!!!!

Need them for a CDL engine... This may take me a while to work through that link to find it!

EDIT: http://www.partscats.info/volkswagen/en/?i=cat_vag_models&brand=vw&number=1714&set=1740&ein=2012&f=729&hauptgr=1234567890&hg=1&grf=010379649&bf=10379&hgug=103&ug=03&parent_id=3676526 - Think this is what I'm after, it's all the PCV system... Might renew the PCV itself with the latest revision while I'm going through all this drama.
