I want to upgrade my headunit to a double din. Unsure which one to get. Or what great deals there is out there. Would love to see other peoples headunits to really see how smart they look

I have a Dynavin N6 which looks identical to the RNS510. I don't know how to put a picture up but well worth the money for the features :happy2:
If money is not a problem I would go for a fully loaded RNS510 though

It can be connected to a rear sub. AFAIK for a great sound it will also need a DSP, better crossovers, 2 amplifiers and better speakers (3 ways front, 2 ways rear).

Here's mine.  Kenwood ddx4015 Dab.

Used a connects2 fitting kit which comes with fascia, cage, canbus interface, loom and aerial adapter.

Works OK.  User interface feels a bit dated and the iPod integration could be better. But it feels well made especially when I compared it to similarly priced Pioneers.

A mate of mine, has a iPad install. Cost him around £500 not including the iPad.

Not something I'd do, but he can control everything from the iPad and speakers are wired up up to it

I've been looking at the OEM LOOK headunits. Does anyone have any views on these. They are on eBay for about £220

RNS510 is nice looking but I don't like how slow it is and the power output is silly. Also I needed a Bluetooth module for mine and wasn't prepared to pay the silly money for one and the microphone, then the hassle of fitting and coding it...

I had a Kenwood DNX520VBT (like above) in my last ED30 and wasn't a huge fan. It was old and felt old, bluetooth doesn't do audio streaming either.

I also used a Kenwood DDX-4025DAB. That was ok apart from the screen was way too dim and you couldn't see it.

This time I have just fitted a Pioneer AVH-X2700BT and I really like it. The customisation options for both the looks and sound are great, and its really smooth and easy to use. The sound quality is great with standard speakers too and the screen can actually be seen. It doesn't have nav but i never use in built nav systems as they're never up to date. I have a Brodit phone holder so always use google maps or the likes. The other plus of this stereo is the quality of the bluetooth module as it has new technology in it, I always stream my music from my phone so thats a great addition for me. I'll grab a photo later.
Candy White ED30 :)

this is a link to one i have been considering.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-MK5-MK6-7-Car-Radio-Stereo-SatNav-Bluetooth-iPod-USB-OBD-Diagnosis-GPS-/171181089753?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368

That does look the business, you get a lot for your money, wonder what the sound quality is like.
If you decide to go for it do post up a review,be interested to hear how it performed.

Before I got my Kenwood, I looked at the eBay OEM looking ones. Some of the cheaper ones use Windows CE as the operating system, which I've read can be slow.

The slightly more expensive ones run android which is quicker and allows much more in the way of customisation.

The thing that put me off the android versions was lack of customer support,  reviews saying hands free BT was poor quality.
