Just finished mine. Very happy with the result. Might just trim a little more of the metal rod to make it shorter. Thanks for the write up!

Yeah it does. I told my wife I can't stop fiddling with my knob in the car. She wasn't impressed lol

I couldn't get the clamp back down though so I bought a metal plumbing clamp that has a screw on which had done the job perfect and makes it easy to get the gaitor/knob on/ off again :)
