Fit the original valve that can be blown through from the intake side and it ticks over fine?

Basically with the new valve I have fitted from my local dealer when first started it hunts a little like it would if you removed the oil cap then it just revs on its own. I have removed the valve several times and refitted but it's still the same? I've put my old pcv on and it idles normal. The reason for changing was I could blow through the valve from the intake side.
