Well I decided to have a go at changing the switch bezel on driver and passenger sides. Drivers side is pretty straight forward as long as your careful prising it off you'll be fine. But. While removing switch electricals I rushed and ended up taking the outer casing of the power window switch apart and kinda broke the mechanism. Ah well you can only learn from mistakes! I was going to invest in some chrome ones anyway so that made my mind up.
Now the passenger side was not so straight forward. The guy at VW dealer parts informed me " it's only 2 screws" and forgot to mention that the door panel has to be removed to get access to another 2 screws. Might leave that job until next Saturday
