Rev D replaced for Rev G
« on: September 27, 2015, 02:42:36 pm »
As the title suggests.

So the ED was feeling down on power and after a quick scan of the VCD'S threw up an error code - 000051 - after investigation turns out the DV was not performing correctly. Checked and it was running original Rev D. As you all know this is no longer considered the best option as it is a piston. So decided to upgrade to the Rev G which is a diaphragm and considered the better way to go. After a quick check online I purchased one form Awesome GTI
http://www.awesomegti.com/car/vw/golfmk5/oem-2-0t-diaphragm-diverter-valve-06f-145-710g
£43.25 inc vat = bargain
So after a quick check on the forum I found a great how to guide from @rich83 - This was dead simple to follow and only took around 30 mins to do, cheers @rich83
So Rev G DV now fitted and all error codes removed the car feels better than it ever did, upgrade definitely advised.
