Is there any difference between that new radiator and an OEM one?

Worthy upgrade?

Anything that improves thermal efficiency is for the better!! The standard radiator is great, my cooling on my golf has always been second to none from standard, but I plan on going for 370 brake minimum so the cooler I can keep my engine the better! upgrading to external oil cooler at some point soon also!

I plan to fit an oil cooler too to make sure it can cope even better with a hammering on track.

rad is mounted...

Did you end up building custom mounts to fit the rad? I know Neuspeed made some for their FMIC kit but they are expensive.

Yeh man, custom!

Cool. Just out of curiosity would the company you used be able to fab another set up? or is it a one off. I havn't really got the time to measure and design ones at the minute.

I don't know if its just me but the pictures are not loading. The only one that did is where you have stripped the front right down  :sad1:

I'll ask and find out when I'm back in town on Friday!

The standard oil coolers are great even if the car''s mapped, never gets too thin, however I'm aiming high, anything that brings the temperatures down is good in my book. It's just unfortunate that universal oil cooler kits don't fit on these cars otherwise it'd be a very simple job! I'm currently looking for good kits but I can't find reviews or threads of anyone doing them!

It won't go that far I don't think, I'm not setting out to build a full on BTCC car! Got to get it on a track and then see where it goes from there really, find out what's available to me!

QUICK UPDATE 27/11/15

Bought this a while back for the k03 but seen as it's a dead turbo and I'm upgrading to k04 this is heading to Forge back for a swap for the k04 version!

Got word that my cooler piping has been done while I'm away and I keep telling the lads to send a picture but they just keep sending me inappropriate pictures of other "piping" ... I have some idiots for friends haha!

So I'll get a picture of that this weekend!
