Car not dead locking
« on: November 24, 2015, 05:08:49 pm »
Hi all. I have being to set the car alarm off buy leaving the window open and opening the door. I was hoping the door would not open from the inside but it did.

I have hit the lock bottom twice and still did not do anything ?

Also the alarm did not go off .

Thanks

Did you try every door for dead lock operation?
Two press of the lock button fob disengages the dead lock so only one press to check.

After that it's a scan with VCDS which will show what fault codes are stored.

Interesting - a VCDS scan would be my next move.

I just found your scan format a bit confusing but now realise it's a diesel not a petrol - silly me! Well I haven't got a clue from what I've seen it would require physically removing panels to look at various items and their behaviour on your vehicle.

Well I've looked back and read all your posts and feel your vehicle may have a bit history to have the very unusual  faults you've listed!

I would start by followings all the wiring harness and look for a bad repair cause your faults are different to any I've experienced.
I would be looking at the aux heater, cause there favourite for taking harness out when they've had a slack connection - good luck as its a tough challenge ahead.

FYI, two presses on the remote disables the deadlocks. I take it you've tried the inside handles after locking the car with one press?
