Anyone got experience with crash damage/body repairs?
« on: November 30, 2015, 07:44:25 pm »
Some old biddy just backed into me whilst i was waiting to pull into a parking spot

Gutted, is an understatement. Managed to keep it completely knock free for 7 full years until tonight

She's taken full responsibility as you'd expect, but i fear the worse as it doesn't look good.

Anyone able to put me a little at ease and tell me it's fixable, will be talking to my body shop in the morning

Has the damage affected the door in anyway or is it purely the panel next to it?

Seems to be a small line in the door, it's a bit difficult to tell at the minute. Seems to open/ close fine, no mis alignment if that's what you mean?

A decent bodyshop would repair the damaged area and paint the whole quarter panel and maybe even blow in the door to match the colour but looking at the colour, it isn't going to be easy if it's silver as colour matching is a nightmare. sorry buddy I've been through this a few times  :scared:

If you want it perfect the door will need doing as there's a small crease in it too.
