Right. Just been to my VW specialist garage. They didn't take bumper off as didn't have time so no pics. But they spotted the grill is non oem. I didn't notice that. Parts of the slam panel had been cut away. The air con condenser is all bent inwards. Assume rad may also bent as sits behind but can't say until removed. Looks as though the part I am missing was bent inwards into the rads and it was easier to cut off than to repair. Which also explains the non gen grille.
Where is the intercoolers on these cars. Where the damage is just wondering if that could be damaged??
So am on the look out for a rad, air con rad and slam/front panel and poss a gen gti grille
