Thanks guys

Yes the GTI G60 was before it's time! I loved it!! It was my Ed 30 back in the '90s. It had realy everything!
Now a enthousiastic VW mechanic is the proud owner. I only changed  a couple of things under the bonnet. It had 204bhp! More than enough for me.

It has such a great sound! Most of all it's so easy to increase the bhp!
But since february this year I'm an aprentice in turbo :ashamed: Same as the G, the engine has a lot of potential!

Always wanted to own a Rallye but the opportunity never arose sadly.

I had the Corrado G60 for 7 long years, so know exactly what you mean about the sound the supercharger makes! You always wanna drive it in low gears to hear the sound! Miss that car but I think it was too heavy. What are your thoughts on the Rallye? Driving / comfort wise etc.

What's the difference between the GTI G60 and the Rallye?
Previous motors (in order of succession since 1994):-

VW Golf MK2 GTi 8v
Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi
VW Corrado G60 Supercharged
Volvo C70 2.0 Turbo Convertible
Audi TT MK1 1.8T quattro (225)
Mercedes CLS 320 V6
Audi TT MK1 3.2 V6 Quattro
Audi A4 Convertible 1.8T Quattro
VW Golf MK5 GTi 2.0 Turbo

@ rashg60 thanks for the compliment!
The difference between the "normal" GTI G60 & the Rallye is that the Rallye has the syncro system (4X4), the wide arches and the rectangle headlights. Engine wise the Rallye only has 1763cc whilest the GTI G60 has 1781cc.
Comfort & driving is also different.
The Rallye feels more stable while the GTI G60 is a bit more "nervous". Comfort wise I was Lucky to have the full option GTI G60 with all the Bells & jingles. The Rallye had the Recaro seats which are extremly comfortable.
And make no mistakes! The corrado was also a very good car! A good friend of mine had also one. He had it also for 6 or 7 years!

Love G60s.
Our first G60 set itself on fire.
Have just picked up another Corrado G60 as a bit of a project
