Can mk5 5 door seats be adapted to fit in a 3 door ?

I was wondering if i bought some vw mk5 r32 seats for a 5 door if i could adapt there mechanism with my old 3 door seats so that they would slide back amd forth off the lever on the side ?

You would have to swap all the soft furnishings over to the relevant frame, which is no easy task!

If you don't have a problem with chucking passengers in the back then yes you can as the five door front seats only recline manually.
