Speakers missing?

That's why I'm going stealth when I have the spare cash  sub on sub off hahaha

I've had many Alpine set ups with full surround three way components extra tweeters and mahuusive subs but can't being doing that anymore

Fronts and a sub is all you need. Rears are not really needed if you are after a quality staged setup. Problem with the golf are the speakers are at your hip instead of fwd. Time alignment can only do so much.
If the rear speakers have been physically removed you will need to watch for water ingress.

Depends if we are talking front or rear. The fronts are like a 8inch woofer(at your hip level) say 4inch mid(at the door grab) and a tweeter say 1inch in the door sail. I think the rears are 6.5inch and a tweeter
What ebay shows is a 2 way system ie 2 speakers and just 6.5inch mid woofer(with an adaptor ring) and tweeter. Not as good. 3way system would be best if you have the cash. I would say put the money into the fronts and add a small boxed sub in the boot

Suppose each to thier own but i know in my System i don't miss the back 2 speakers and i wish i knew sooner as i would of saved £600

Me neither.  Mine are faded out!  I wouldn't stand with my back to a concert, so I don't need speakers behind me.  They are for rear passengers, no the reason
