VW ECU Reflash
« on: January 06, 2010, 08:17:06 pm »
I’m thinking of going to vw to see if they will reflash my car with oem map...  originally i thought i may have had a little clutch slip but that seems not to be the case now as it’s happening too low down the rev range (1.3 - 2k rpm).

Do I simply just ask for an ecu update?

Also does the ecu log a date when a new map is applied?

I think you have to pay £ 60 or so for a fault diagnosis, or reflash  :happy2:

They should defo reflash in the service, you could just make up a little fault so they would check at that time.
I would wait until then. Do you not know anyone near you  with a select + switch who can put revo's stock settings back on to see if that cures it while your waiting for the service. :happy2:

You could just say the exhaust light came on.  :happy2:

Have you had a look in the VCDS area of the forum for people with select switches near you.
