edition 30 owners with ttrs brake setup
« on: March 07, 2016, 04:39:09 pm »
Hi have tried searching and there seems to be a lot of conflicting posts about fitting ttrs calipers onto an edition 30 retaining the standard wheels so who is running this setup and what was needed to clear the standard alloys.

I'm going stage 2 shortly and seriously need to upgrade the brakes to cope with the extra power.

Also would the nqsbbk kit fit behind the standard alloys. Again any advice from people who have fitted this kit would be helpful.

Don't really want to.be running massive spacers if I can help it

Thanks in advance

Youll need a spacer for either the TTRS or the NQSBBK

8mm H&R Hubcentric spacers will do you just dandy with a BBK under stanard Pescaras.  :happy2:

if you want ttrs brakes you will been a bigger spacer then 8mm !!!!

I have the TTRS setup on my ed30 and i am running 15mm spacers.

I have couple mm gap so smallest 12mm or 13mm spacers

I just went to 15mm as it was much easier to source  :signLOL:

I want to retain the standard alloys with minimal spacers so I think the nqsbbk is the best option  using 8mm spacers. ...

Does anyone know of a kit for sale?

Thanks

Doesn't seem to be much about in TTRS or NQSBBK flavour at the min.

Few refurbed 18z 6-pots on ebay but they could be overkill, depending who you listen to.

Tell me about it mate. There were loads for sale 12-18 months ago.

If anyone is planning an upgrade from the nqsbbk kit them please drop me a PM

Thanks

You could always buy the TTRS jobbies from Vagbremtechnic (via Alex).  :happy2:

Does Alex do a full plug and play kit?

Probably a good option.

Does the ttrs kit not require massive spacers though?

I am leaning towards the nqsbbk with 8mm spacers tbh.

Does anyone have pics of the nqsbbk Sat behind percesa alloys?

Thanks
