Hi line rear brake light not working
« on: March 10, 2016, 02:10:04 pm »
Any ideas......checked fuses but nothing specific for it and nothing warning me it's not working
All lights work apart from this ......aghhhhhhhhh
Could it be the led strip has failed? But surely this would bring up codes?k

Pretty sure the high level LED isn't checked by the ECUs. Most likely the light unit itself has failed, quite common (good guides out there on how to change it).

Make sure the wire is getting power before you replace it.

I assumed it didn't work but it does but it's very very dim so power is there and it's just a case of replacement  :happy2:

Replaced my high level brake light on Saturday morning. Was fairly easy to do to be honest. There is a decent guide online somewhere, have a search.
