Opinions on this DV
« on: March 19, 2016, 10:46:42 am »
Just in the process of a lot of work on the Golf, 1 thing to tick off was the DV, my mates just removed it, there's a tiny drop of oil in the rubber section, however it's completely intact and actually looks in good nick! Where it plugs in has oil aswell, is this a sign the PCV needs replaced? Or is the DV faulty?

Either way it's being replaced, just want to know if it's worth to keep as a spare?

As long as there's no splits on the rubber diaphragm a bit of oil is nothing to worry about, I replaced mine with one of these

Be weary of GFB DV+ kits from non authorised distributors as there are some counterfeit ones going around that have poor performance
