Don't think it'll damage the car but it apparently can cause problems with warranty. If you haven't been servicing your car at the right times, it can invalidate things. Or so I heard last time I asked this.

I think you have 1000 miles grace so if you're gonna do more than that by the time you get round to servicing, it's better to do it sooner. Also, if you're gonna do a long trip, it'll be better for the car to get serviced before anyway.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

In that case, the only thing it may affect is resale value, though as long it has been serviced, it shouldn't matter too much.

Now get in that car!

think you'll be ok as long as all your levels are ok  :happy2:

your car done 18k before its first service so its only been 14k and should be ok , not ideal before a long trip but as long as your oil level etc is fine i dont see any problems

As long as it is less that 20k (19k?) miles between the services how will the buyer know?

On another note quite a lot of dealers will do a while you wait service if you are there first thing.
Personally if I was doing some long trips I would get it done beforehand.

whats involved in the secondservice minesdue in 500 miles.

Id like all my fuel and oil filers changed along with brake fluid and air con recharge, so hoefully thats part of theservice

is iteasy enough to swap from variable servicing to fixed
