I see a lot of ED30's advertised, but are they selling at the premium prices they should command?

Your thoughts please?

The really good ones will. Minters kind of command whatever price they want because there's a certain kind of buyer looking for them.

The more average spec, condition and mileage cars are probably 'worth' around 8k or so rather than the 10k+ you see most advertised for.

If you're thinking of selling, make it an option rather than a necessity. Then you can hold on for a buyer that'll meet your price instead of having to take whatever comes your way in a shorter timeframe.

It's a funny economy with ed30s. But as always, something is always 'worth what someone is prepared to pay for it'.

10-12k is easily achievable with a 40/50k dsg mint example but summer is when I reckon the best time to sell is.

I've been keeping an eye on prices as it looks liek I need to sell in the near future.
sub 50k bone stock cars seem to command £11K+, with anything less that £8K having lunar miles or on the V car.
Modified cars seem a mixed bag in the middle.

But who knows if they are selling.....

i keep toying with the idea of getting something different.

some of them are just silly prices £12k up over.

theirs a standard white 3dr with 52k on ebay for £10900.

mines done 56k but with a lot more extras but i wouldn't ask for more than £10k.

I'm glad I'm not the only person thinking this.

I'm in the market for one again after owner one 4 years ago. I can't get my head around around the fact I sold mine nearly 3 years ago (58 plate) for less than what people are asking now. No way am I paying more now than I sold for all that time ago. To make it worse mine was a very low mileage mint condition car.

Let's not forget it's a golf, not some super rare classic car. If I don't find something sensibly priced I'll buy something else.

That's a proper price and I'd have bought you're at that price should I have been looking at the time.

The ones being advertised at 11k now aren't going to be getting any calls. I just skip past the ads. They'll have to reduce to a sensible price if they want a sale.
