Is this a brake caliper fault?
« on: April 02, 2016, 01:36:08 pm »
I was driving to my cousins house and I stopped to park up but as soon I stopped, I felt the passenger side rear wheel dropped as if tyre has punctured or dropped onto pothole. I went out to see and couldn't see anything other than yellowish dirt around the alloy. 5 minutes later I start the car and I notice abs light come on. The car wouldn't move freely as the passenger side rear wheel gets stuck. Once it gets stuck, I'm unable to lift up handbrake and the foot brake pedal pushes fully down. So I left the car there overnight and the next morning I started it up and noticed the handbrake light flashing. I was able to move the car freely without the wheel getting stuck but the foot brake pedal pushes fully low in order for the brake to work. I've checked the wheel and it looks like all the brake fluid has leaked as the brake fluid bottle is empty. I'm confused to what has happened and what to do. I'm thinking it might the brake caliper but not sure. I can't drive the car safely to a garage so I thought I'd ask here if anyone knows what I need to fix this. Thanks.

If you are not sure I would suggest getting the car trailered/recovered to a garage.
Sounds like a caliper has shat itself but could be a leaky line somewhere.

Obviously don't drive your car also the clutch fluid is ran from the same reservoir so that may be weird too.
