It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Changed my standard gear gaiter and handbrake cover for red stitched ones today. Quite pleased with the results, sorry for the terrible pictures but just using the phone and was dark by the time I finished. Will put up some better pictures when I get some in daylight.

Hey, yeah, there were always a few little bits and pieces I wanted to do with it. Getting into the more expensive mods now though so there will be less updates with that. It really needs a good detail but I'm too busy working shifts or cleaning everyone elses cars to get around to doing mine! haha.

Thanks, you can get anything you want as long as you're willing to pay for it. I got these ones from ebay as red stitch is quite a common mod but I'm sure there will be different colour options available, if not advertised then find a seller who does them in red and get in touch with them and ask them to make a blue one, sure it won't be any hassle for them.  :happy2:

I did consider the black and blue theme for mine but black and red is just easier to get things for and my bike is blue and black so fancied something different for the car.

Something I have noticed though is that because the leather on the handbrake lever is thicker than the original stuff then the button to release the handbrake isn't moving freely. I will need to remove the leather again and sand off a bit of the backing where it tucks back on itself to make it a bit thinner so it doesn't catch on the button.

That's the golf booked in for Friday to get the new sachs clutch, dmf and release bearing changed as well as a new rear wheel bearing and post dpf exhaust gas temp sensor fitted.

Not going to be cheap but just don't have the time, space or confidence to do these jobs myself.
