Flaw was the middle piston thing was too large and the boost pressure was forcing it open. Fixed by making it smaller and making the spring stiffer.

Flat is too strong a word, as on boost performance is unchanged. Lethargic when applying the throttle is a better description.

As for the earlier question about flutter, i don't get any with mine. Took this snippet from an early morning blast yesterday over the Black Mountain Pass. Cam was mounted in a waterproof case on the bonnet:

Revised version has a black piston and stronger spring for anyone who would like to know the difference.

Mine has a brass piston with orange seal.  Is that the older design?   There is a secondary, smaller, piston which is black though?   What was the actual flaw?

My car feels flat with the Rev G.  Due to the nature of the solenoid operation and the mapping, the valve is either open or closed.  The DV+ lets go of the waste pressure more progressively, which consequently makes the engine feel more responsive coming back onto the throttle after a dump.
