Idiot who can't drive

That'd be me :(

Is this fixable for a reasonable price? Or is it cheaper to just get a new wheel?

Are they diamond cut or painted?

If painted, you can touch it up yourself to a certain extent. If diamon cut then the whole wheel needs to be done. In which case I would do all 4 together because one super clean wheel against 3 old ones won't look right

Pretty sure they're painted. Assumed they were all the same. That's not the news I wanted to hear!

They do look painted but couldn't have been sure!

I had an identical kerbing issue on mine so I diy'd it temporarily. I was happy with the results and I think there's a how to in my build thread. "Luke's GTI build thread".

Basically, sand down around area, fill with primer, paint over, lacquer. Polish until it blends in!

Ah Cheers, I'll take a look. Talk about gutted, all four were about as good as they could be.

Hi, I had the same problem after getting all four wheels refurbished. Managed to catch one going through a damaged width restriction. Sent it off by itself to a different company and it came back perfect and the colour match was spot on. :happy2:
