Possible turbo issue
« on: July 15, 2016, 07:31:39 pm »
Driving back from tesco just now booted the car a bit and the turbo didn't seem to kick in properly.  Felt it straight away. I have a 1.4 gt twin charge with a fairly new forge bv. No black Blue smoke or check engine lights any idea what it could be? I'll have another go tomorrow just want to know what to check for

Check the pipe work under the car that connects all the pipes the air flows through. Also, I believe there's a bit debate about using blow-off valves and that they really don't work on the VW engines as they prefer a diverter valve. Could be worth sticking a stock valve back in and monitoring the torque again to see.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!
