Was driving down the m1 when all of a sudden my Mk5 golf gti suddenly dies, no idea what happened as its been running perfectly, wouldn't start afterwards and the AA guy said fault codes for cambelt sensor? i'm not mechanical at all but the garage I took it too have said it hasn't snapped but has to take the header off to find out if a chain at the back has broken, quoting me £500 just to take the head off and to have a look, does anyone on here have any clue on what the issue would be? sorry for being so vague but im in panic mode, cheers.
