Boot Pop Kit
« on: September 26, 2016, 09:49:50 am »
Want to install the boot pop kit.

I believe I need 2 of each:
1J6 827 439 A
1K8 827 761 D
6Y0 827 550 C

Pricing individually is working out quite costly.

Can't get delivery from ECS tuning or USP motorsports to Ireland.

Does anyone know any retailer that sells the entire setup as one kit?

Don't expect it to pop and completely lift the boot every time. Mine only works when it's been parked out in the sun on a very warm day. Throughout the majority of the year it just cracks open and you need to give it a gentle tug to encourage it to open the rest of the way on its own.

Similar here...generally doesn't work for the first one in the morning, unless its been warm overnight, after the first one it's fine for the rest of the day!

Mine always seemed to work fine, but I needed to use a lot more force to pull the lid down and slam it shut.  I didn't like that so took it all off.   Haven't missed it one bit, so also have a full kit (all oem) available if anyone wants it!
