Mk5 tdi match engine management workshop
« on: October 29, 2016, 06:26:36 pm »
Hi everyone

I was driving home last night and all of a sudden the esp and glow plug light came on the dash with the warning message on the mfd displaying "engine management workshop". I looked this up online and things like a faulty brake switch were popping up but my brake lights are working fine so that rules it out. Other things like faulty sensors popped up too. I'm going to try get it scanned asap with vcds to see if it's throwing up any faults .
I'm just wondering has anyone experienced this problem and if so what was the cause/solution? Hoping it's something small and easy fix as I only bought the car 2 weeks ago. Have 3 months warranty so if something is wrong I'd like to find it out asap.
Should probably mention that the lights went off the dash when I turned the car off and on again but this is down to the system reseting when the car is turned off I know the fault is still there.

As always I appreciate any help
Cheers , Sean .

So got the car scanned yesterday and these two faults showed up

Thankfully I don't think it's anything serious. From reading online it seems the accelerator connection can be dodgy and throw a fault. Lights have not appeared on the dash since
