In order to update the entertainment system in my car I have decided to add Bluetooth hands free and music streaming by installing a parrot mki9000.
I went for the 9000 as I don't want an additional screen stuck on my dashboard anywhere.
Anyway I have ordered the parrot, the correct harness adapter and also an aux in cable (with dual female rca plugs).
I think you can do a standard installation using just the harness but then you would be using the parrots built in amp to play your music through the car speakers or you can use line-in inputs which means you will use the car stereos amp to power the music. I want to use the line-in so I can control the volume with the car stereo and not the parrot. Have I got this right or have I miss understood something?
If I have the above correct can I then use the aux in cable I have ordered as the line-in on the stereo? I will connect up a couple of male rca's to the correct wires on the parrot.
Finally can anybody tell me what colour wire on the air con controls to get a switched live from? Is this the easiest place to get one or is using the cigar lighter better (if it is switched)?
Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I have everything before I tackle the job at he weekend.
