2008 Edition 30 advice
« on: December 04, 2016, 09:53:30 am »
Hi guys. Been offered a very cheap 2008 Edition 30 through a friend of a friend who's emigrating next week. Black 5 door 109,000 miles with full history. It's got thr DSG box which I've driven but never owned before...
Should I tread with caution here?? The box has been regularly serviced at the correct intervals
Never been brace enough to buy one before... had the choice when I got my Mk5 R32 but bottled it and went manual

I assume if he doesn't hesitate too much, clonk, bang or judder in reverse... not much else can be checked... other than running it on vag??

Thanks guys

I suppose that depends on how cheap! If its a steal then there will be money in the pot if anything goes wrong with the dsg.
I wanted a manual until I drove my first dsg the other day and it was a big surprise, so smooth and seamless it really shocked me.
Good luck if you go for it!

I love my DSG. So lazy when you want it to be, but enjoyable when driving quickly.
You'll also get the fartttts  :signLOL:

My DSG is currently on 127k with no issues whatsoever - wouldn't ever go back to a manual now.

My Eddys on 126k now and Ive spent close to £2.5k in 3 months ownership on mixture of mods maintence and mods.

My DSG service is due but ive not had any problems with it. Love the DSG tho!
