Dump valve

Does anyone in here have a dumpvalve ? Does it improve anything ?

You mean a vent to atmosphere one I assume.

Unless you've got a massive turbo the standard DV can't support, there is zero gain.  In some cases they can actually make things worse.

Unless you've got a massive turbo the standard DV can't support, there is zero gain.  In some cases they can actually make things worse.
Unless mapped accordingly the ECU is expecting that air to be in the intake system so the AFR will be too rich with a dump valve. Much better to just upgrade to a GFB DV+ and never worry about it anymore.

I remember from 1.8T days, those dump to atmosphere Forge DVs.  A lovely cloud of black fuel smoke with every gear change  :grin:   They revised it to a half dump, half recirculate valve after that!

Reason being i was speaking to someone about my engine management light came on and he was saying maybe theres air stuck somewhere which i found werid but i left the car for a few hours and the lights gone of which i didnt understand
