Pirelli Windscreen replacement
« on: January 26, 2010, 04:39:10 pm »
Need to get a new windscreen for my Pirelli and amongst the 101 questions from the Autoglass folks was 'what tint is the screen, blue or green'? As the car is parked on my drive 60 miles away I obviously can't take a look to check (at work!). Anyone know the answer?????

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but only R32's and early GTI's have blue tinted glass all of the more recent ones have a green tint I believe?

I had my windscreen replaced a couple of weeks back on my 2008 Ed30. Was asked the same question at the time. Mine is green, as I believe most later GTI's are.
However, AutoWindscreens just ordered both in case I was wrong! They did an excellent job, as it happens. No complaints from me.

I went for blue... it was hard to tell with all my other windows tinted.  No complaints though....
