Connecter in the glove box
« on: February 28, 2017, 07:21:23 pm »
Hi, I have an edition 30 which comes with the connecter shown below in the glove box. Any ideas on the best way to connect my iPhone 6s Plus to it so I can play music through my phone? Thanks in advance

Trace that connector to the MDI unit that will be on the other end then buy a lightning connector lead instead of the iPod one you have.
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

That lead will feed into the MDI, which then has a loom to the headunit. The device to MDI leads are interchangeable.

That looks like an (old gen) ipod to MDI lead. You'll need a Lightning to MDI lead, I think. There's one on ebay, item number 232231626550, and I have one somewhere that's surplus... although I've no idea where I've put it. I'll see if I can find it.

Just double check though - I'm not an iphone man myself so I can't say for definite what works and what doesn't. If you're not in a big rush I'll dig mine out and see what part number is on it.

It came from @Pudding - the top chap he is sold me his old MDI kit and it came with that. Maybe he can confirm whether the lead I have (somewhere) is what you need!
