Rear arch liners

Going to clean my arch liners in a couple of weeks and just wondering if there's different arch liners for the rear? As mine are like a carpet so it just soaks in dirt. Surely this is a stupid idea seeing as though the fronts are plastic? Basically I would much prefer plastic. If there are any has anyone got the part numbers? Thanks

Mine are the same, so I guess it's  how they are.
Maybe to reduce spray in the wet? That's a total guess though!

Use a water repellent spray which should help the material, i`m planning on taking mine out steam cleaning and then treating them..... loads of stuff on the market to choose from.....

I've never understood why people clean the arch liners on cars. Fair enough the bit by the edge of the tyres but cleaning the whole lot seems pointless.

Do you not think it prevents potential problems....? look at all the wing rust issues and sills.... if they were cleaned out regularly it would limit the corrosion and be able to see issues earlier. Also helps with condition of brakes/running gear.... tbh i cant understand not cleaning the underside.... always gets me when you go to shows and see the condition of some show cars underneath...

The bits where the mud and dirt collects between the arch and liner I understand, but I'm on about cleaning the whole plastic arch liner. I've never cleaned an arch liner on any of my German cars and never had any issues.

Yeah does prevents problems mentioned above and why wouldn't you want to clean a part of your car? Keep it in mint condition and you'll appreciate it later on.
