I was about 12k for a late 06 with a 2 year warranty, 36k on the clock and it was bought in december.
I think i got a good deal about 13k sounds right for the one you are going for if they throw in a warranty.

wow this makes mine seen expensive!
I just bought an 06 gti with 30k on for 15k from vw dealer.
5 dr, dsg, winter pack, leather, sunroof, cd changer in armrest, 18" monza II, luxury pack, rear parking sensors

mind you i did get 0% finance so that has saved me approx £2k in interest charges

The car in the first post is well over priced. I would not pay any more than £12k for it but for that money, you could have a Leon Cupra instead complete with extra power, better brakes and still in warranty.
