2 channel Amp

Can I connect my 3 way front speakers to a 2 channel amp- or do I need a 4 channel amp? I.E. could I have one channel for front rights and the other for front lefts?

Got some basic Rainbow speakers in at present but probably going to upgrade.

Not looking for an active setup. Was planning to connect the amp to RNS 510 via high level/speaker level inputs as it has auto turn on function this way.

Yep.  The speakers you buy will come with a passive 3 way crossover.  If not, a basic first order cross over is cheap and easy to implement.  Active is always better than passive though..... but expensive.

Ok cheers so crossover to amp then amp into the speaker wires behind the headunit is that correct?
Don't want to go active as I'll need more amps and money basically!

No not quite it'll go Amp>Cross Over>Speakers, as it does like standard, the only difference is your using your external amp instead of the one built into the headunit.

Yep, I meant how the amp connects to the RNS 510, that's the part I'm unclear on. The amp has high level inputs so I don't think it needs an adapter/converter, just not sure how you wire it in.
