edition 30 rear caliper
« on: July 06, 2017, 09:50:03 pm »
Hi all. New on here. I've got a edition 30. Just changed my rear pads on it. O/s winded back no problems but n/s as a got to bout half way went really stiff. I managed to get it back with force. Now I've started to notice brake dust build up just on that side. Even more than the fronts. What could this be cos I cleaned it all off before I rebuilt it. Maybe caliper is goosed.? Any ideas cheers Karl.

Sounds like the caliper is sticking or binding. Pretty common on the mk5 and currently what I'm going through

New caliper time.  I wouldn't bother with a 'rebuild' kit on these, just get new ones.  Replace the other side as well because I guarantee it will go the same way soon after.
