@Pudding Mk7 R has the 6 speed DSG, the new facelift (Mk7.5 R) has the 7 speed DSG. The 6 speed is good for 600nm, most peeps from Stage2 onwards are running happily with a mapped DSG at 570ft lb+.
As for that mad 7R, couple of vids below....check out how calm and "no fuss" that 9.5sec looks like from inside. Also a list of its specs (below), not cheap but nothing earth shattering in there really and only front seats swapped out for race seats
