Bit of an update, only had 2 offers. First one was £2970 and most recent is £3170.

Was some confusion with my excess, according to my insurance company it's £750 total and my new policy excess was going to be £250.

As a gesture of goodwill they said they'll only charge me the £250 to settle the claim. Still not sure of who the liability is with..

Been advised there will be no third offer and if I want to dispute it further I will need to contact the financial ombusman...
