When I did mine I put the pins anywhere on the hooks and it's been fine ever since so I'm guessing so !

@Kai96 fitted it today - looks and feels much better!

No blown airbag thankfully!

Cruise control not working however - not getting picked up reckon might be a dodgy stalk. Horn out of action too..

When I first fitted mine it was the same the horn wasn't working but once somebody coded it all it started working again, and I've read somewhere if you switch to the mK6 steering wheel you might have to change the cruise stalk depending on which one you have at the moment

Didn’t know I had to recode the horn - I’ll have a look

Yeah I fitted a rev G stalk but it’s come from China so I think might be a dodgy one.

Getting this error on VCDS

Guessing you're using the ch module?

Are you coding up the wheel with 5-8 lin 2 as this is mk6 NOT 1-4 lin 1.3?

Cruise is coded number 3 in its correct position, not 1 or 0?
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

@SI-R32 yep it’s a CH Module.

I think I might have coded it wrong now you mention it..I don’t think I put any numbers between 5-8 I’ll have a check tomorrow to see what I’ve done.

Mines a DSG with cruise installed via blinker stalk so I think I need to have my coding set to 0001834 as per what’s shown in the bubble in this link

Had a look and it did have an 8 in there for multi function with Tiptronic and push to talk installed.

Put the code in and now I get the following which suggests to me the stalk may be buggered:

got the cruise working!

just the horn to sort out but that might be due to where the pins are placed on the airbag?
