Aftermarket paddle shifters
« on: December 19, 2017, 06:08:09 pm »
Hi guys!

I'm in the process of installing a DSG box on my car, a Seat Leon Cupra 1P. At the moment I have an OMP Corsica racing steering wheel installed which I love.
To benefit from using the DSG in manual mode I have two choices. Either install an OEM steering wheel but I don't like it or use the normal shifter. I don't know if it is hard or not to use it, but for sure is not as good as paddles. Also the direction of shifts is not ok for me, any racing gearbox set up is pull for up-shift, push for down-shift.
Or is it a third choice? Does anyone know if aftermarket paddle shifters could be installed and how can it be done? Where should they be connected?

Also is there a way to switch DSG manual shifter direction for up-shifts and down-shifts?

Thanks!
